Diodes Completes $250 Million Acquisition of ElevATE Semiconductor to Expand Analog and Mixed-Signal Portfolio

Diodes Incorporated has announced the successful completion of its acquisition of ElevATE Semiconductor, Inc. (“ElevATE”), a leading provider of high-performance integrated circuits for the automated test equipment (ATE) market. The transaction was completed for $250 million in cash.
Headquartered in San Diego, California, ElevATE is a fabless semiconductor company specializing in highly integrated, low-power analog and mixed-signal solutions designed to address some of the most demanding challenges in semiconductor testing. The acquisition strengthens Diodes’ analog and mixed-signal product portfolio while expanding its presence in attractive, high-growth markets driven by increasingly sophisticated semiconductor devices and growing testing requirements.
Completing the acquisition of ElevATE represents an important milestone in advancing our product portfolio and content expansion strategy,” said Gary Yu, President and Chief Executive Officer of Diodes Incorporated. “We look forward to welcoming ElevATE’s employees to the Diodes family. ElevATE brings differentiated technologies, strong engineering capabilities, established customer relationships, and a leading position in the ATE market. These strengths complement Diodes’ broad analog and power semiconductor portfolio, global manufacturing capabilities, and worldwide sales organization.”
By combining the two companies’ complementary strengths, Diodes expects to provide customers with a broader range of semiconductor solutions while increasing its exposure to high-value analog and mixed-signal applications.
Strengthening Diodes’ Position in High-Growth Markets
The semiconductor industry continues to demand increasingly advanced testing technologies as chip designs become more complex and manufacturing processes require greater levels of precision. ElevATE’s expertise in ATE applications gives Diodes an opportunity to expand its offerings in this growing market while strengthening its overall analog semiconductor business.
Following the acquisition, ElevATE will operate as a dedicated product line within Diodes. This structure is designed to maintain business continuity for existing customers while allowing ElevATE to benefit from Diodes’ global infrastructure, manufacturing footprint, supply chain capabilities, and worldwide sales network.
The integration is expected to create additional opportunities to leverage ElevATE’s specialized technology across Diodes’ broader customer base and expand the company’s participation in advanced analog and mixed-signal applications.
Positive Financial Contribution Expected
As previously announced, ElevATE is expected to generate approximately **$50 million in revenue during the first 12 months following the completion of the acquisition**. The business is also expected to contribute immediately to Diodes’ revenue, gross margin, and earnings per share.
The acquisition therefore represents more than an expansion of Diodes’ product portfolio. It is also intended to enhance the company’s financial performance while positioning it to capture the growing demand for sophisticated semiconductor testing solutions.
With the transaction now completed, Diodes and ElevATE will work toward combining their complementary technologies, engineering expertise, customer relationships, and global resources. The partnership is expected to strengthen Diodes’ competitive position in the ATE market and accelerate its long-term growth in high-value analog and mixed-signal semiconductor applications.
